May-June Visits and Talks

Euan Kay
Monday 15 July 2019

In the past few weeks, Euan has been describing our latest work on dynamic covalent nanoparticles to a diverse range of audiences at:

  • The Molecular and Nanoscale Physics group, University of Leeds
  • The 9th Annual Meeting of the St Andrews Centre for Magnetic Resonance
  • A symposium on Dynamic Covalent Chemistry: Frontiers and Perspectives, J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague.

At the event in Prague, it was a daunting but particular pleasure to present alongside one of the fathers of Dynamic Covalent Chemistry – Jean-Marie Lehn – as well as two good friends leading the next generation of research in our field – Emilio Perez and Max von Delius.

Thanks to all the hosts and organisers – Kevin Critchley and Zhang Ong at Leeds; Michael Buehl at St Andrews; and Petr Kovaříček at CAS Prague – for organising such great events and providing fantastic hospitality!

Meanwhile at St Andrews, it has been a pleasure to host visitors Jian Cui and Thomas Bischof from the Pioneer Campus at the Helmholtz Zentrum, Munich, closely followed by Prof. Paola Posocco from the Department of Engineering and Architecture, University of Trieste. Some great scientific discussions and exciting ideas were shared on each occasion!
